Another day in Bariloche: We returned to Port Pañuelo and took a beautiful 75 year old boat to Victoria Island and the Arrayanes National Park. 

バリローチェでのほかの日：ポート*パニュエーロに帰って、綺麗な「７５歳」の船に乗りました。まずヴィクトーリア島とアラヤネス国立公園を見に行きました。

Otro día en Bariloche:  Volvimos a Puerto Pañuelo y subimos un lindo barco que cumple 75 años justo este año.  Fuimos a la Isla Victoria y el Parque Nacional de los Arrayanes.

Puerto Pañuelo ポート*パニュエーロ ميناء منديل

In Bariloche, we took a day trip to Puerto Pañuelo and Llao Llao.We hopped on a local bus which dropped us off at a small port surrounded by mountains. We walked for a while until we discovered a trail, trellised by a kind of white bamboo.  The trail lead us to a forest of Arrayanes (Chilean Myrtle for those tree lovers out there), spotted cinnamon colored trees that are actually bushes.  It was a strange and beautiful sight!

バリローチェにいるとき、ポート*パニュエーロとシャオシャオに行きました。バスに乗って、山中の小さいポートに着きました。ちょっと歩いて、小さい道を見つけました。道には珍しくて白い竹がいっぱいありました。道を下って、アラヤネスの森に着きました。アラヤネ (チリのフトモモ科) とはシナモン色の斑点のある木です。不思議な森でした！

 

Bariloche バリローチェ باريروتشي

Home, sweet home!  Last week, we flew to Bariloche, a northern Patagonian town known for it's large, indigo lakes nestled among impressive, snow-covered peaks.  It's a popular skiing spot in the winter.  Since November is spring here, we avoided the snow (although most people we talked to seemed to believe Boston got more than Bariloche).  Instead of white, snow-covered streets, we found a landscape covered in yellow retama, a flowering bush found in great abundance in the region.  Although we didn't do any skiing, we enjoyed walking, hiking, kayaking, boating and the very athletic activity of eating locally-made chocolate.   Enjoy the pictures!

ただいま帰りました!　先週飛行機でバリローチェという北パタゴニアの町に行きました。この町の大きくて青い湖と高い雪山は有名です。冬に人々はバリローチェにスキーをしに行きます。しかし十一月は春ですから、雪がありませんでした（でも実はみんながボストン市のほうが雪が降る町だと言いました!）白い雪がありませんでしたが、黄色い花はどこにもありました！この「レタマ」という花は十一月によく咲きます。スキーをしなかったので、山と町の散策とカヤックをして、船にも乗りました。たくさんの運動のあとに、地場チョコレートをいっぱい食べました！写真を楽しんでください！

الاسبوع الماضي ذهبنا إلى مدينة باريلوتشي في شمال باتاغونيا. البحيرات الكبيرةو الزرقاء و الجبال الطويلةوالجميلة في تلك المنطقة مشهورة جدا. في الشتاء يأتي كثير من التاس لتتزلج, ولكن كما نعن في الفصل الربيع, ما كان ثلج على العرض, ولكن بدلا من ذلك كان في زهرات كثيرة لونها صفراء. ما قدرنا على التزلج, ولكن مشينا في الغابة وذهبنا التجديف وأكلنا شوكولا كثيرة! ها هي الصور

 The Third LatinArab film festival has come to an end.  At the closing ceremony, prizes were awarded, speeches were made, wine was drunk, mini falafels were eaten and lots of pictures were taken.  Volunteers like myself also received a certificate of participation.  It was a lovely night. 

三回目のラテン*アラブ映画祭は終わりました!　閉会式で、賞が渡され、スピーチがされました。それから、ワインとアラビア料理を楽しみ、写真をたくさん取りました。ボランティア達も賞状をもらいました。素晴らしかったです。

Se ha concluido el tercer festival de cine LatinArab.  En la gala de clausura, los ganadores fueron apremiados, algunas personas importantes dieron discursos, fuimos agasajados con vino y falafal y todos tomamos un montón de fotos!  También recibimos los voluntarios un certificado de participación.  Una noche inolvidable.

A surprise trip 弾丸旅行

Here are a few photos from last Sunday`s surprise trip to Colonia, Uruguay.  It was just a quick 45 minute ferry trip from Buenos Aires.  I absolutely fell in love with this town.  It was quiet and friendly, and the views were simply breathtaking.  

We are currently finishing up our trip to Bariloche, so when I get back I will update with more about the trip and also add the translations to the previous blos posts.  Internet cafè time is super limited and there are very few language options for word processing in different scripts!  

先週の日曜日ウルグアイのコロニア市まで弾丸旅行をしました。 ブエノスアイレスからコロニアまで船で４５分だけかかります。　この町が好きになりました!　静かで、親しみやすくて、息を呑むようなながめでした。

After the National Prize race was finished, we got to see a free Diego Torres concert.  Diego Torres is an Argentine pop star, although most of our Argentine friends were very unimpressed that we were going to see him.  Below is a link to his website if you want to hear some samples of his music.

Last Saturday, Koichi and I went to the race track, which is only a block or two away from where we live.  It was the day of the National Prize race, and so there were a lot of activities, food stands and even a big concert.  Best of all, everything was free (except for the food, although we did get a free bowl of seafood paella).  As is true at most sporting events, I´m not sure who won, but we had fun and enjoyed watching the horses.

先週の土曜日私と浩一さんは一緒にアパートの近くの競馬場に行きました。 国民賞の競馬でしたので、イベント、出店、コンサートがありました。何より、ほとんど全部がただでした！(食べ物はただではありませんけど、どうかこうかシーフードのパエジャをただでもらいました!）　だれか勝ったか知りませんが、とても面白かった、馬をみることをエンジョイしていました。

A talk 講演 Una charla خطاب

Koichi was invited to give a talk at New York University Buenos Aires last week.  The program is housed in a really beautiful building.  Here he is asking the students questions about their time in Argentina (the students are all North American).

先週浩一さんはブエノスアイレスのニューヨーク大学で講演をしました。この大学の留学プログラムはとても綺麗なビルにあります。上の写真で、浩一さんは学生達にアルゼンチンの生活について質問をしています。学生は全部アメリカ人です。

A new product 新発売 Un nuevo producto منتج جديد

Argentina is the only place where you can get green Coca-Cola right now.  We heard about it on NPR while we were still in Boston, so we were excited to try it out.  As  you can see from Koichi's picture, he was quite satisfied with the flavor.  As for me, I thought it was nothing a splash of wine couldn't fix. 

今グレーンコーラはアルゼンチンだけで売っています。私達はボストンのラジオでこの特別なコーラのことを聞きましたので、嬉しくて試しに飲みました。上の写真は浩一さんの美味しそうな顔です。好きだと言いました。私にとっては、ちょっとワインとミックスしたほうがいいと思いました。

Argentina es el único país en el cual se puede comprar el nuevo producto de Coca-Cola, la Coca-Cola Life.  Había salido en las noticias de Boston el verano pasado, y teníamos ganas de probarlo.  Como se puede ver claramente en la foto de Koichi, se quedó satisfecho con el nuevo sabor.  En cuanto a mi, creo que con un toque de vino se arregla todo. 

في الأرجنتين منتخ جديد شركة كوكا كولا, اسمه كولا ليف ولون الزجاجة أخضر. سمعنا عن الكولا ليف عندما كنا في مدينة بوسطن وأردنا أن أشتريه في الارجنتين.  بالنسبة لكويتشي الكولا ليف لذيذ. فاما أنا, هذا نوع من الكولا احسن مع الخمر

Today at the rose garden-- Frothy roses and a satin pond.  Aureate sunlight and cerulean skies.  Families of humans and families of geese.  A shady spot and a good book.  A spring day in Buenos Aires.

今日はバラ公園。柔らかいバラ、のどかな池、黄金の太陽の光、青い空、人間の家族とガチョウの家族。ブエノスアイレスの春の日です。
